La Soirée 2018 for FPUA

France-Philippines United Action (FPUA) is the Foundation of the CCI France-Philippines. It is also the first Foundation of a French Chamber of Commerce in the world. FPUA aims to engage corporations to develop and reinforce their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in the Philippines by serving as a bridge between the world of the private sector and the NGOs. We bring together the skills of companies to create development projects for the benefit of the vulnerable and underprivileged Filipino people. Through its projects, FPUA contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

Created after super typhoon Haiyan in 2013, FPUA helped the French businesses in their rehabilitation efforts in the Philippines. Together, they decided to raise and consolidate the funds into the building of housing projects for the homeless victims. Three housing rehabilitation projects were built in Northern Cebu and accommodate today more than 1200 beneficiaries.

In 2017, FPUA launched an educational sponsorship program to provide quality education to the children from the rehabilitation sites. Today, 15 high school scholars from 12 to 15 years old, are benefiting this project.

Part of the proceeds of La Soirée will support this on-going project which give the opportunity to empower disadvantaged children through education to build safer, brighter futures for both themselves and their families.
