Companies news winner of the Foreign Trade Advisors World Forum

French Tech Award winner at the CCI France Philippines Business Awards Night also won the Award for the Foreign Trade Advisors World Forum.

After having won the Special French Tech Award during the first edition of the Business Awards Night of CCI France Philippines, Edukasyon was rewarded of the first "French Tech Asia" pitch contest organized by the Foreign Trade Advisors along with French Tech Hubs networks in Asia. This contest occurred during the first Foreign Trade Advisors World Forum, held in Nusa Dua, Bali, in October 5-6.

Edukasyon is a Franco-Philippine startup created by Henri Motte-Munoz and Anthony De Guzman. Their mission is to offer an online platform to facilitate school research and subscription for hundreds of thousands Filipino students in the middle of the jungle constituted by Colleges. In the Philippines, pursuing studies after high school is a real challenge: only 300,000 fresh graduated, out of 1.4 million, manage to subscribe to a College. According to Anthony De Guzman, Edukasyon is a "Airbnb for schools": through the platform, a student can subscribe in 5 schools in less than one hour! The platform records 200,000 connections a month. Edukasyon will be present during the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2018.

This first edition of the "French Tech Asia" pitch contest was backed by Business France and Bpifrance. It demonstrates the wish to support French innovation in a region of the globe where France is not represented a lot in this field. It was made to give the opportunity for French SMEs to better establish in the Asia-Pacific. The representatives of the 41 French SMEs which subscribed at the event were able to meet potential customers or prescribers, in the country of their choice, before a final meeting in Bali where a networking event was held.
