Breakfast Talk: How will Manila’s congested traffic affect your business?

CCI France Philippines, in collaboration with the Belgian-Filipino Business Club, held a breakfast talk featuring Senator Grace Poe as keynote speaker on January 18, 2017.

The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (CCI France-Philippines), in collaboration with the Belgian – Filipino Business Club (BFBC) held a breakfast talk on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Dusit Thani Manila. The talk featured Sen. Grace Poe (Senate Committee Chair on Public Services), Dr. Robert Siy (Senior Advisor, Department of Transportation), and Dr. Primitivo Cal (Executive Director, University of the Philippines Planning & Development Research Foundation, Inc.) as keynote speakers for the event.

BFBC’s President, Frederic Tshidimba, welcomed the participants and the esteemed panelists on his introductory speech. Dr. Robert Siy extensively discussed the status of Metro-Manila’s traffic congestion through focusing on the different counter measures in  alleviating traffic flow on heavily-affected areas.

Dr. Primitivo Cal   then presented various solutions in solving the aforementioned traffic congestion in the Metro.

Sen. Grace Poe has stated during her speech that one of the top priorities of the Public Services Committee is to be able to implement emergency powers in order to resolve the traffic difficulties  within Metro-Manila.  The Senator has also discussed several governmental projects that are being developed to address and ease the traffic bottleneck around the Metro.

After the Q&A session, the CCI France-Philippines’ Managing Director, Vanessa Hans, concluded the event during her closing remarks.
