It has the 2nd largest economy in Europe and 5th largest in the world

Europe’s 2nd largest consumer market with 65 million inhabitants

It is the world’s leading tourist destination, with 83 million visitors in 2013 (World Tourism Organization)

France has the 5th largest foreign direct investment stock in the world

France’s Gross Domestic Product generated to $ 2.7 billion in 2013 (The Statistics Portal)

France is the 2nd largest exporter and importer in Europe. France’s exports include aircraft, beverages, cheese, chemicals, consumer products, machinery, iron, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, plastics, steel, transportation equipment and vehicles, wheat and wine. And its imports include aircraft, crude oil, machinery and equipment, plastics and vehicles (Economy Watch)

The country’s export amounted to $567.1 billion. While its imports amounted to $641.3 billion in 2012 (Economy Watch)
